I arrived at Cylburn Arboretum for a series of mini-portrait sessions earlier today and saw a beautiful sight. The remnants of a wedding just finished with no trace other than a chuppah remaining. I never saw the bride, groom, or any other part of the wedding in the four hours that I was at Cylburn. Only the chuppah remained.
It was such a gorgeous day as the flowers were coming into bloom, the sky was cloudless, and everything just seemed saturated with life. I don’t know whose wedding it was, who that photographer was, or anything about what went on earlier today. But seeing that chuppah in the field as the wind blew made me happy. Surely the couple is as amazed by the day as I was.
